Couponing is the new currency. If you don’t believe me, visit Publix or Kroger on Monday or Tuesday. That’s when the couponers come out. Oh you have the regulars like housewives, young mothers, and those living on fixed incomes. But there are the newbies as well — college students, bachelors, and caretakers who aren’t quite comfortable in their roles.
Couponers are a likeable sort. I have swapped coupons with complete strangers and puzzled over the biggest bargain with others. The economy has forced us into saving money in any form we can. But couponing is a challenge and if done right is actually fun.
